Who are your 5 people?

Jim Rohn said, "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with."

Community is important and our time is valuable. Are you spending time with people who uplift and inspire you? Are you prioritizing your spiritual, emotional, physical and mental growth and development? How about those in your circle? Create a habit of regularly assessing who you are spending your time with and the impact they have on your life. Determine if you feel like those around you are stretching you and if you are stretching them too. I am not saying drop the friends who aren't sharing all of your interests, but perhaps have a conscious conversation with them about what you value in your friendship and ask how you can be a better ally too. Having support helps us grow and keep up with our commitments, mindset and actions. So if you like to run and you don't have any runners in your circle, perhaps it's time to join a local running club. If you practice yoga regularly, but no one in your circle practices, perhaps it's time to take a class. If you are plant based/ vegan and you don't know anyone else who is, look online and find support whether it's local or virtual. We all need support, especially when we make commitments that are outside of the norm. Who we know matters. Community makes us stronger, helps us thrive and reassures us, we are not alone.
