Running in the rain

3/9/2020

Today was my first run in months that didn't require a jacket. It's a freeing feeling to run with less layers. The temperature was mild as was the wind and there was a very light rain. It was one of those runs that felt cleansing. I felt the stress of the last weeks melt away. I felt a lightness within me, a bounce in my step, smile on my face. The air felt good in my lungs. It was refreshing, purifying, just what I needed.

This is an example of why I'm grateful to keep myself on a schedule. I may have skipped running today because I was tired and had a lot to catch up on. But because I had it scheduled, I went out and got it done. And I'm so glad I did.
