My community is experiencing a lot of pain right now. As a result, we are having a lot of conversations around allegations that were made about our teacher. I'm finding so much value in listening, knowing I don't have to have the "right" words. When we face challenge, community can support and uplift us, it can also challenge us. It can give us an opportunity to look within and increase our awareness of our role and responsibility. It helps us feel connected through pain and adversity. It gives us safe space to connect. I'm very grateful for a circle of sisters who I can share and be open with so that I can be strong and supportive and hold space in my role as a teacher.
